28 November 2022, Harrow, UK Electronic test equipment specialist Electro Rent is rebuilding and expanding its team in Germany, spearheaded by the new appointment of Thomas Jung as Sales Director for the DACH region. The move provides customers with even higher levels of applications support and technical expertise at local level. Now able to leverage the benefits of Electro Rent’s stronger presence, companies in Germany seeking test and measurement solutions will enjoy a rapid and comprehensive response to enquiries that is unrivalled within the sector.

Thomas Jung has held several leadership roles in technical sales that amount to over 20 years of experience in test and measurement for R&D, industry and building applications. He is adept at establishing strong sales teams and client relationships, while demonstrating a keen understanding of budget challenges and an eye for recommending the most efficient test and measurement procurement solution.

Renting test and measurement equipment is proving increasingly popular across Germany, particularly in sectors such as telecoms, power, automotive, aerospace, defence and electrical, where more and more are recognising the benefits available. With a variety of rental agreements and financial solutions, using Electro Rent makes it possible to cut the cost of tests considerably. Moreover, the company can provide the latest-generation electronic test and measurement equipment, all of which is available on flexible terms, without capital investment.

Electro Rent Deutschland is already leveraging the advantage of great talent from the company’s previous entities Livingstone and Microlease (rebranded under Electro Rent in 2020). Under the new leadership of Thomas Jung, the company is looking to take its technical, commercial support and customer care to an even higher plateau.  The expanded team brings together industry and product knowledge, and prides itself on building strong, long-standing professional relationships based on trust.

“With extensive knowledge of the German market, our expanded team at Electro Rent Deutschland will be able to provide a comprehensive support service in line with specific requirements  - before, during and after the rental process - offering complete peace of mind for customers,” says Thomas Jung, Sales Director DACH, Electro Rent. “Rental solutions are particularly in demand at present due to uncertain economic conditions. With rising inflation and interest rates, many companies undertaking test and measurement activities are looking to hedge against rising costs by avoiding long-term capital investment commitments. It’s an exciting time to join Electro Rent as I believe that Germany is going through a cultural shift where a growing number of companies are beginning to realise how rental represents a more flexible test and measurement procurement choice.

By considering rental rather than purchase options, companies also negate ongoing supply chain issues In Germany, where many new instruments are only available on long lead times. In contrast, with 60,000 instruments, Electro Rent has the largest European fleet available for rental on short delivery times.

Importantly, the newly expanded team at Electro Rent Germany has decades of combined industrial experience, providing the support necessary for a multitude of applications, with each technical proposal adapted to suit individual customer requirements. Electro Rent customers can count on employees who are experts in test and measurement technology, as well as stock and product management.
