EXFO’s OTDRs deliver the right tools for accurately detecting and characterizing splices, connectors, splitters, breaks and other events along a fiber link. The FTB-7000B provides a wide choice of configurations to conveniently test all types of networks. The FTB-7000D and FTB-70000C enables multiplewavelength testing by combining triple-wavelength capability in a single module. Plus, the FTB-7000D offers extremely short dead zones—perfect for short-distance applications—and faster-than-ever acquisitions.
The FTB-7000D OTDR takes metro, access and FTTH network testing to the next level. Its exceptional 1 m event dead zone lets you characterize all events between the transmitter and the central office’s fiber distribution panel. This module features a highly efficient, lightning-fast trace acquisition routine, as full averaging is performed in 45 seconds.
Thanks to next-generation OTDR software, the FTB-7000D enables you to test through high-port-count splitters—even 1 x 32 splitters—perfect for passive optical network (PON) testing. This product is part of the EXFO series of FTTx-compliant optical test products. It allows for the testing of passive optical networks (PONs) at the three main wavelengths (1310, 1490 and 1550 nm) recommended by the ITU-T (G.983.3) for use in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) networks. 1 m event dead zone: shortest in the industry Four-times-shorter testing time, for minimized testing costs FTTx ready: passive optical network (PON) testing capability Market-leading linearity of ± 0.03 dB/dB, for highly accurate event characterization Dynamic range of up to 38 dB
