Keysight’s photovoltaic (PV) simulator includes the hardware and software to test a single maximum power point tracking (MPPT) inverter accurately. Test PV voltages up to 2000 V and 60 A with a single supply. DG9000 Series software licenses are available to test string inverter with 4-, 8-, or 12-MPPT channels. Most string inverter solutions test one MPPT channel at a time — leading to test inaccuracies. Keysight's DG9000 advanced PV inverter software can test up to 12 MPPT channels simultaneously.
The Keysight Technologies PV8900 Series PV array simulator provides up to 30 kW autoranging, single-output programmable DC power. The autoranging output characteristic enable a wide range of voltage and current combinations at full power. Power supplies with “rectangular,” or traditional, output characteristics provide full power at only one voltage and current combination.
The PV8900 Series provides stable output power, built-in voltage and current measurements, and autoranging output voltage and current from up to 2000V, up to 60 A at up to 30 kW. These supplies offer many system-ready features like multiple standard I/O interfaces to simplify and accelerate testsystem development and compact 3U (20 kW) or 5U (30 kW) design to save rack space. If you need more power, you can easily parallel multiple units to create “one” power supply with up to 600 kW of total output power. The built-in primary/secondary control enables programming as if it’s just one big power supply; no need to program each supply individually.
The Keysight PV8922A Photovoltaic (PV) Array Simulator enables you to develop, verify and optimize the performance of your inverter maximum power point tracking algorithms. Developing and verifying the performance of inverter maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms is challenging. MPPT algorithms are complex, and under-the-sun testing with a comprehensive set of temperature and irradiance conditions is difficult, expensive and time consuming.
Use the Keysight PV8922A Photovoltaic Array Simulators in your design laboratory or on your manufacturing line to simulate the output characteristics of a real-world photovoltaic array. The PV8922A PV array simulator is an autoranging, programmable DC power source that can quickly simulate I-V curve characteristics under different environmental conditions (temperature, irradiance, age, cell technology and more), enabling you to quickly and comprehensively test your solar inverters.
