The FTBx-570 enables technicians to characterize multiple optical links from a single location, with a single instrument by testing both chromatic dispersion (CD) and polarization mode dispersion (PMD). In addition, the FTBx-570 provides fiber length measurements allowing users to know precisely the fiber under test distance.
The FTBx‑570 utilizes this length measurement data for the dispersion coefficient data removing the need for technicians to input the length data manually, ultimately avoiding mistakes as seen with dual-ended CD/PMD solutions.
The FTBx‑570 also provides delay information per wavelength, key information required for today’s high speed network deployments.
