Video: Making Measurements in the Field with the Keysight FieldFox

Watch our exclusive video with our partner Keysight Technologies to learn about the fundamentals of testing wireless networks in the field with the Keysight FieldFox handheld microwave and RF analyser.

Overview

Filmed on location in front of the beautiful mountains of Grenoble, France, our partners at Keysight Technologies demonstrate the Keysight Fieldfox handheld RF and microwave analyser live in action. We will look at some of the key functions of the FieldFox that help solve the challenges and complexities of testing modern mobile networks.

In this video, the experts at Keysight will investigate 5G Over the Air performance of 5G NR Base Stations situated in the Southeast of France. 5G networks are not a straight-forward iteration of 4G networks and Wireless Operators have invested heavily in 5G with each connected application for end-users being adaptively managed in terms of data through-put, synchronization between cells, network capacity and security. However, 5G brings new measurement challenges, and with the coexistence with 4G LTE and previous generations, even more complexity. We will demonstrate live some of the most important functions of the FieldFox that make life easier for engineers making measurements and troubleshooting networks in the field.

In this video you will learn about the following topics:

1. Base Station Coverage measurements

2. Component Carrier power measurements (Layer 1 Physical layer)

3. Wireless network troubleshooting (Layer 2 protocol layer)

4. Interference Troubleshooting (Layer 1 and layer 2)
